Budget 2011-12
Mackay Regional Council handed down its 2011-12 Budget on Wednesday June 29 2011.
The budget focussed on affordability and the completion of a Long Term Financial Forecast which considers the long term picture on rate increases, capital programs, loan levels etc.
In shaping this year’s budget, council has conducted an extensive review of service levels, program delivery and taken into account the ongoing loss of State Government subsidies and the cap on Developer Contributions.
There is also a significant commitment to capital works and flood repair work.
