Mackay airport cyclone update

Mackay Airport has now entered Stage 4 of its Cyclone Plan in response to the latest advice issued by the (BOM) on Cyclone Debbie.

Mackay Airport has now entered Stage 4 of its Cyclone Plan in response to the latest advice issued by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) on Cyclone Debbie.

The shutdown of the airport is being completed and all scheduled flights have ceased until further notice. People with queries about particular flights are advised to contact their airline.

Once the cyclone has passed the required safety inspections will be carried out and from there the timing for the recommencement of flights into and out of Mackay Airport will be determined.
