Solar to be installed at Nebo Road Water Treatment Plant

Council will begin preparing the Nebo Road Water Treatment Plant for solar installation on Saturday (December 8).

This is one of 21 sites across the region that will have solar power installed, saving ratepayers nearly $17 million in electricity costs over the next two decades.

As part of the preparation works, crews will be removing trees inside the Nebo Road Water Treatment Plant’s fence line.

These works will occur each Saturday from 7am until 4pm, with minimal noise disruption. It is expected the works will be completed by Christmas.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
