3) Star 101.9’s Fire in the Sky

STAR101.9 is lighting up the sky! From 4pm - 8pm Star is throwing a massive party at the Bluewater Quay with free family entertainment, local Mackay talent, free kids zone, River Street Twilight Markets, food stalls and more wrapping up with a fireworks display synchronized to music at 7:30. Whether you are a creator, artist or just enjoy the beauty of art, there is plenty to discover in the Mackay City Centre. The Art Walk will begin at Artspace Mackay at 4.30pm and will finish at the special, Fire in the Sky event including the River Street Twilight Market and Paxtons Night Markets. Seniors Expo

The Seniors Expo for 2019 will be held on Tuesday, August 20 from 9am – 1pm. Whether you want to get your blood pressure or hearing checked, or if you want to check out a new hobby or the latest-release mobility scooters or aids, the expo will have something for you. There will be plentiful and easy parking close to the venue and a drop-off and pick-up zone for those with mobility issues. Picnic in the Park
