Sacred Ink: Connecting to culture is an Artspace Mackay photographic exhibition delivered in partnership with the Mackay and District Australian South Sea Islander Association (MADASSIA). It explores how the art of tattooing has been embraced by local Australian South Sea Islanders as a means of cultural connection to, and affirmation of, their South Sea Islander heritage.
