Works will improve drainage at Queens Park

Published: 16 Aug 2019

Council is installing new stormwater drainage at Queens Park as part of the revitalisation project, which is currently under way.

The work will improve drainage issues at the popular park.

As part of the work, motorists are advised that a section of the east bound lane on Shakespeare Street will be closed and traffic will be reduced to one lane from Monday, August 19, for about two weeks.

Work will be carried out on weekdays between 6am and 4.30pm.

Traffic management will be in place to minimise the impact to motorists during this time and residents are asked to obey all signage and the directions of traffic controllers.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by this necessary work.
