Paradise Street to remain open until tomorrow morning

Paradise Street between Evan and Henman Streets will remain open until tomorrow morning.

The streets were due to close at 12noon today, but due to contractor delays; the streets will be closed for most of the day tomorrow (Wednesday, January 4) to allow for the central island to be removed in preparation for pavement reconstruction works.

The pavement reconstruction works are expected to continue along Paradise Street for the next three months while the section between Bridge Road and Evans Street is fully reconstructed.

Traffic disruption will be minimal, as two-way traffic will generally be retained using side tracks and part of the existing road.
