"Unleashed" - A Photographic exhibition by Cheryl Eagers.

Lagoons Gallery and Café
6 April – 1 May 2011

A visual exploration (by photographic investigation) on the thoughts of intimacy, desire and possession invoked by orchids, roses and lilies.

Passion and love are human emotions regularly associated with the giving and sharing of flowers, both the exotic and common varieties.  This sharing can cause pleasure and havoc.  What lies beneath the giving and acceptance of a flower is human emotions.  Utilizing the form, texture and lines of flowers, this collection visually represents how emotions can be unleashed with the simple giving and/or acceptance of a flower.

Image featured is titled “Flutterings”.

The Lagoons Gallery and Cafe is open Wednesday to Friday - 10am to 3pm, Weekends 9am to 4pm.
Cost is free

Planting Bees also offers all budding green thumbs a chance to get their hands dirty and help the Gardens extend their plant collection.

All Planting Bees commence at 9am sharp; with a “planting induction” and participants are asked to remember to slip, slop, slap and wear closed in footwear.

• create their own magical creature using seedpods, clay, soft wire and leaves
• play “Life cycle” games and discover who does… Complete or Incomplete Metamorphism magic.

There will be two sessions each day, 10am – 12 noon or 2pm – 4pm, Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20, Thursday 21 April 2011
