Advertising signs

Council's Subordinate Local Law No. 1.4 (Installation of Advertising Devices) 2011 ensures that the installation of advertising signs and devices does not cause harm, nuisance or obstruction to the public and the surrounding environments.

How to apply

A permit is required if you intend to erect, place or remove an advertising sign, banner or notice on a building, road or footpath.

Complete the Application to erect a sign (PDF 49.3KB) and lodge it with council’s Development Services development.services@mackay.qld.gov.au along with the relevant fee and supporting documentation.
