Strategic planning
Mackay Regional Council is one of the fastest growing regions in Queensland. Strategically allocating future land uses and identifying associated trunk infrastructure needed to support the growing community, is an important and necessary role of council.
The Strategic Planning Program forms part of Council’s Development Services Department and consists of town planners and engineers working together with other areas of Council, external stakeholders and the community to ensure that the region is adequately prepared for future population increases.
