The Sarina Tourist Art & Craft Centre

The Sarina Tourist Art & Craft Centre is located in the original Court House built in 1906, the Accredited Visitor Information Centre is housed in the Old Jail circa 1906 and the new Mount Pelion School House built1926 houses the administration and work/training/meeting rooms.

The Court House is full of beautifully locally made arts and crafts wonderful special gift ideas. The products for sale are displayed with the same rustic theme complimenting the building and free gift wrapping is available.

In the fully restored jail cells you will find a treasure trove of all local and regional information.

The Visitor Information Centre gained full accreditation in 2001 and was awarded Silver in the Mackay Tourism Awards 2015  for "Outstanding contribution by a volunteer or organisation".

This complex has operated since 1996 as a totally voluntary organisation who have no paid staff. Our friendly volunteers will always have a pleasant smile and warm welcome for all our visitors who are offered a complimentary tea or coffee.

Unisex and disabled toilets are available within the centre and access ramps link the buildings for easy access. Disabled parking is located right next to the entry. Parking area for larger vehicles is also available and a free dump pump out is located within the complex.

The complex sits in tropical parkland among the Field of Dreams Complex which also offers covered play area for the children, chairs, tables & BBQ.

The centre is located on the Bruce Highway on the southern side of town in the Field of Dreams complex.

Opening hours: 7 days a week 9am -5pm. Only closed Christmas, New Year, Good Friday and Anzac Day morning.
