Heritage Fair 2018

Sun hats, lace, string instruments, parasols - this month's Greenmount Heritage Fair will host a sophisticated garden party overlooking Greenmount's tranquil meadows.

The popular annual event will be held on Sunday, May 27 at Greenmount Homestead (five kilometres past Walkerston).

Entry is free and the day promises good ol’ fashioned fun for everyone!

Festivities run from 9am until 3pm.

This year’s theme is Heritage Garden Parties, so come dressed in heritage costume or vintage garden party attire to win prizes.

There is a long list of attractions with something for the whole family, from an expanded Q&A with gardening guru Tom Wyatt, to workshops provided by Mackay Community Gardens, right through to a mini farmers market and a cooking demonstration by chef Trudy Bishop.

Add in roving street performers and acrobats, more than 120 stalls, and so much more, and you have and amazing day out for the family.

Don’t miss the sophisticated morning tea catered by Vintage Kiss and accompanied by performances from members of the Mackay Youth Orchestra. With views over the valley and plenty of shaded seats, it’ll be the perfect way to relax after the thrills of the fair.
