Queen's Baton Relay

The eyes of the Commonwealth will be on Mackay on March 20 in 2018, as the Queen's Baton journeys towards its final destination, the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Opening Ceremony on April 4, 2018.

Residents from Mackay can begin planning their Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) experience with the street-level detail and community celebrations now available to explore at www.gc2018.com/qbr

The baton will weave its way through North Mackay and the journey includes a special ride up the Pioneer River. The QBR will take in most of the city centre and we are encouraging business owners and residents to line the streets and cheer on the baton bearers.

The day will culminate with a community celebration at Bluewater Quay, where residents will have the chance to get up close and personal with the Queen's Baton.

Find out when and where the Baton will be in Mackay at www.gc2018.com/qbr.
