Sarina’s Queensland Day Family Fun Day

Running from 11am to 7pm, this free family day will have live music, food stalls, markets, activities for the kids, art displays, face painting, music workshops and will close with a lantern parade.

Live music will feature an assortment of young local musicians and a trio of choirs that will perform up until the lantern parade finale at 6.30pm.

A kid’s creative space will give children the opportunity to explore the arts with sticker-making, art and craft activities and interactive music making.

There will also be a face painter, henna painter, dance displays, drum workshop and plenty more.

The Youth Centre will have their oversized games to play, the Scouts will have their rope bridge and a marketplace for creative and innovative people will pop up for the day.

The Mackay Regional Visitor Information Centre and Field of Dreams Parkland capital project will also be officially launched on the day with a sod turning ceremony at 11am.

This event is supported by council, the Queensland Government and Sarina Festival.
