Sweet Secrets Trail

For the month of May, sweet seekers can follow their hearts to discover over 20 delicious sweet secrets from our region.

The campaign is proudly supported by Mackay Sugar, Wilmar Sugar, CSR Sugar, Canegrowers Mackay, The Hungry Travellers and Mackay Tourism and is council’s tastiest #MackayPride campaign yet.

The Sweet Secrets Trail will be available from Tuesday, May 2 with the official launch at the Greater Whitsunday Farmer’s Market at Bluewater Quay on Wednesday, May 3. Check out two local chefs as they go head to head in a pressure cooker between Platypus Lodge Restaurant & Cafe and TurBARlence at 9:30am.

A local social media duo, The Hungry Travellers, have proudly accepted the role of #sweetsecrets ambassadors for the campaign.

During May they’ll hit the trail and share their sweet discoveries on council’s Facebook page.

Share a photo of each of your sweet discoveries on council’s Facebook competition post for a chance to win! A major prize worth over $1000 will be announced in the final week of May and will be the final sweet secret to be revealed…
