Set within landscaped gardens in the John Breen Park recreational precinct in North Mackay, Pioneer Swim Centre provides convenient access to all patrons.

Entry fees and charges
Hours of operation
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday. Opening hours are subject to change. The facilities close at the designated times.
Public Holiday hours are 8am - 5pm.
Patrons are required to exit the water 15 minutes prior to the closing time.
Please phone the centre prior to visiting to ensure there are no venue bookings.

Learn to Swim
The Mackay Aquatic Facilities are an accredited AustSwim Swim School and our aim is to teach you and your child swimming and water safety. There are two programs that operate - the infants and toddlers program and the preschool to school age program.
Both programs aim to enhance the learning process through:
- Qualified teachers and a professional and caring learning environment
- Providing lessons for all abilities
- Teaching water safety and survival skills
- Providing cost effective lessons, fun and fitness.
The centre also provides squad training, adult learn to swim and stroke development, intensive school holiday programs and school lessons.

Mission Inflatable Obstacle Course
The Mission Inflatable Obstacle will be at the Pioneer Swim Centre from 1pm - 3pm on the following dates:
- Saturday, May 5 from 1pm to 3pm
- Saturday, May 19 from 1pm to 3pm

The Pioneer Swim Centre will be closed at the following times due to private bookings:
