Choosing to become an Australian Citizen is an important expression of commitment to Australia. Citizenship ceremonies are conducted regularly by council.

Popular days to have citizenship ceremonies are:

• Australia Day - January 26
• Harmony Day - March 21
• Queensland Day - June 6
