Waste facilities and charges

Council provides waste disposal facilities throughout the region through a combination of centres, transfer stations, industrial bins, landfills and green waste sites.

Materials Recovery Facility

The Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) receives recyclables collected from the kerbside yellow lidded recycling bins for sorting and processing.

ChansesR (Resource Recovery Facility)

ChansesR accepts recyclable and reusable items, batteries, motor oil (up to 20 litres), scrap metal, whitegoods, car tyres, vehicles and clothing and more. See the fact sheet above for a list of the items.
