Works for Queensland program

Queensland GovernmentThe Works for Queensland (W4Q) program is a Queensland Government funding program to support local governments outside of South East Queensland to undertake job-creating maintenance and minor infrastructure works.

This initiative is delivered by the Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning and funded under the State Infrastructure Fund.

In 2016-17 Mackay Regional Council was allocated $11.49M of the $200 million program's budget. The projects for Mackay included a wide variety of projects (both new and upgrades), for facilities, amenities, and infrastructure across the whole council area. Click here to see what they included.

Mackay Regional Council has been allocated another $10.95 million to use over two years  as part of the 2017-19 W4Q program. Below is a list of all the projects we are currently working on. As work progresses, new details will be added.
