$188,000 on offer for community groups

Published: 23 Feb 2021

Council has $188,000 up-for-grabs to boost our region’s community and not-for-profit groups.

These Community Grants are flexible and allow not-for-profits to access funds for vital health and safety, transport and equipment purchases as well as projects that benefit the greater community.

Groups can apply for any one of three separate grant categories.

Small equipment grants of up to $1500 can be used to purchase equipment like computers, office equipment and kitchen appliances.

Community Grants of up to $7500 have broader applications – they can fund everything from health and safety outcomes to programs, maintenance projects and even assist groups to establish new fundraising events.

There are also grants of up to $30,000 on offer for minor infrastructure and assets.

These can be used for infrastructure projects, including concept development, as well as the purchase of large equipment like vehicles.

Applications close at midnight Friday, April 2.
