The State Government has imposed new requirements for the local government elections in March 2020, including the need for candidates to complete compulsory training.

The training is free and can be done either online or by attending face-to-face training sessions.

The face-to-face training in Mackay is being held on December 4 at the Ibis Hotel at the Mackay Airport, with sessions at 2pm to 4.30pm and again at 6pm to 8.30pm.
