New Tropical NOI released for summer

Published: 21 Dec 2020

The taste of the summer has arrived at Sarina Sugar Shed with the latest NOI fruit liqueur – Tropical NOI.

The Tropical NOI (Nice Over Ice) is a skilful blend of the fruits of the tropics, including locally sourced passionfruit and strawberries with a hint of coconut.

Mayor Greg Williamson lauded Sarina Sugar Shed for its ongoing production of new releases.

“In a year full of setbacks, the team at Sarina Sugar Shed has kept moving forward and produced a wonderful array of fruit and rum liqueurs throughout the year,” Mayor Williamson said.

“And now they’re ending it with a bang with this new Tropical NOI, which is sure to be another hit,” he said.

Sarina Sugar Shed distiller Sarah Parrott said the Tropical NOI was like summer in a bottle.

“The front palate is filled with passionfruit flavours, followed by a lingering after-palate of strawberry sweetness”, she said.

Sarina Sugar Shed coordinator Ian Mason is proud of the use of locally grown ingredients.

“We carried over the strawberries used in the Strawberry NOI, which we sourced from Ballantyne’s Strawberries in Cameron’s Pocket, and we sourced the passionfruit from a Sarina farmer,” he said

The Sarina Sugar Shed has also released a new addition to its popular Chefs’ Gusto range, with the introduction of a Beetroot Relish, which will prove popular for summer barbecues and on gourmet burgers.
