Council announce Party in the Park

Published: 21 Apr 2021

Most parents are in the dark when it comes to what support services are available to them.

In fact, when asked what prevented them from accessing services in a council survey in 2020, 90 per cent of parents answered they “didn't know what was available”.

To help connect parents with service providers and playgroups, council is throwing a party in the Civic Precinct park in Gordon Street.

The Party in the Park with be held on Tuesday, May 18, from 9am to 11.30am. Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars now.

Residents can interact with playgroups and providers of children’s and family services to help find the support that they need.

Entry is free and stallholders will be offering plenty of fun interactive activities and displays.

Party in the Park is an event designed to promote services who work with children up to the age of five.  It also provides an opportunity for parents to connect with each other in a fun and relaxed environment.
