COVID-19 update – Greater Brisbane three-day lockdown

Published: 29 Mar 2021

Queensland Health has issued a state-wide directive that all Queenslanders must wear masks in indoor spaces such as shopping centres from tonight (March 29, 5pm).

This advice comes as Greater Brisbane prepares for a three-day lockdown following confirmed cases of community transmission in Brisbane.

Mackay region residents and visitors who have been in the Greater Brisbane area since March 20 are also required to adhere to lockdown restrictions.

Residents are being encouraged to stay vigilant and continue to follow safe COVID-19 practices such as social distancing and checking-in when visiting public venues.

Places where you must wear a mask in indoor spaces include shopping centres, supermarkets, hospitals, aged care facilities etc. See the full list of locations and up-to-date information on Queensland Health’s website www.qld.gov.au.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, residents are reminded to self-isolate and get tested.
