Glenella-Richmond Road completion date delayed

The project has encountered delays including poor ground conditions as well as materials and labour shortages due to increased pressures from heightened development activity in the Mackay region at present.

The section of Glenella-Richmond Road which is currently closed is between Mackay-Habana Road and Holts Road.

Council understands that motorists and residents will undoubtedly be frustrated with the new completion timeframe.

Unfortunately, these delays have been outside of council’s control, but we do look forward to having the road reopened to traffic as soon as possible.
