Midge Point community information session

Published: 30 Apr 2021

Midge Point residents are being invited to attend a community information session next week (May 6) to learn more about recent and future water supply improvement works.

Council has recently completed scouring of the Kelsey Creek to Midge Point Trunk Main to remove manganese and iron sediment deposits that had built up within the trunk main over time.

From late May, the construction of a return pipeline from the Midge Point Reservoir to the trunk main on Kunapipi Road and the installation of a packed tower aeration system at the Kelsey Creek Treatment Facility will commence.

Prior to this stage of works starting, the Midge Point community is being encouraged to attend a community information session to learn more and ask any questions about the water improvement works.

The session will be held at The Point Tavern on Thursday, May 6 from 4.30pm.

If you have any questions in relation to the session, please do not hesitate to contact council’s Customer Service Centre on 1300 MACKAY (622 529).
