Artspace Mackay extends deadline on arts bursaries

Applications have been extended until Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Artspace director Tracey Heathwood said the end of 2021 had been a whirlwind for students, so the Artspace team had decided to give applicants until the New Year to submit applications.

The two bursaries are the $1000 Rick Wood Bursary and the $3000 Artspace Mackay Foundation Bursary.

This bursary program was initiated to support and encourage young people from the Mackay region aged 17 to 25 to pursue a career in any aspect of visual arts and creative industry.
Through these bursaries, Artspace Mackay seeks applicants who demonstrate creative talent and ability, enthusiasm and dedication to succeed in their chosen field.

Bursaries may be used to cover tuition fees, resources, equipment or other expenses related to students’ studies.
