Bloomsbury residents asked to conserve water supply

Published: 03 Aug 2021

Bloomsbury residents are being asked to conserve their water supply.

The call comes with the treatment plant struggling to treat the raw water supply due to poor raw water quality.

Council will be carting water to the township today to supplement supply and reduce the risk of dirty water.

Bloomsbury residents are encouraged to avoid watering their lawns, washing cars or filling up swimming pools until normal system operations resume.

Council is investigating the development of an additional bore to reduce issues associated with water quality and supply risks in the future.

If customers do notice any disruption to their water supply, please contact council on 1300 MACKAY (622 529).
