Council announce Party in the Park

Most parents are in the dark about what support is available to them and their children.

In fact, when asked what prevented them from accessing services and social opportunities in a recent council survey, 90% of parents answered they “didn't know what was available”.

To help connect parents and their children with service providers and playgroups, council is throwing a party in the Civic Precinct park (near the fountain).

The Party in the Park with be held on Tuesday, May 19, from 9am to 11.30am.

Expressions of Interest are now open for playgroups and providers of children’s and family services to take part.

Exhibiting is free, but numbers are capped due to space.

Services are encouraged to hold interactive activities and displays.

To register your interest, please contact Tamara Flynn at tamara.flynn@mackay.qld.gov.au by Friday, April 24, 2020.

Party in the Park is an event designed to promote services who work with children aged 0-6 and provides an opportunity for parents to connect with each other in a fun and relaxed environment.
