Council awards ‘Incredable’ contract

Incredable Ltd is the current contractor of the facility and will continue its operation under the new contract, starting on August 1.

Mayor Greg Williamson said awarding the contract to Incredable represented the most advantageous outcome and value for money to council.

“Incredable won the contract based on their previous experience, demonstrated understanding of the role and capacity and resources to complete the works to a high quality,’’ he said.

“We’re pleased to have them back on board for another three years.

“Incredable Ltd has offered great service over the past seven years and awarding this contract to them will ensure continuity of services to council and the community.”

The contract includes an option of two one-year extensions at council’s discretion.

The Resource Recovery Facility, based at the Paget Waste Management Centre, accepts recyclables and reusable items and prepares them for re-sale. It is a drive-through, drop-off area that is open seven days a week.

It accepts donations of recyclable and reusable items for resale in the adjoining Incredable Ltd shop.

It’s open from 7am until 5pm daily, excluding Christmas Day and Good Friday.

There will be no change to operating hours under the new contract.
