Have your say on Alsatia Park upgrades

Council is seeking feedback on plans to upgrade the park with a variety of recreational opportunities that will appeal to a wide range of age groups.

The meeting will offer residents the opportunity to discuss ideas including the installation of a new playground, drainage improvements, and plans to renovate the existing skate park and half basketball court.

Located in a prime position on Kelly’s Road, Alsatia Park is surrounded by residential properties and the plans to upgrade this park aim to improve liveability for Walkerston residents.

The public meeting will be held on Thursday, February 24, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at the basketball court at Alsatia Park. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Residents who can’t attend the meeting can leave their feedback online at connectingmackay.com.au. The webpage will go live following the public meeting and the consultation period will end on Friday, March 11.
