Heavy vehicle parking off Nebo Road

The dedicated parking bays are aimed at reducing congestion in residential streets and improving safety for both motorists and pedestrians.

Heavy vehicle parking bays will be added to the following streets (Nebo Road end):

• Bagley
• Donaldson
• Duncan
• Edmonds
• Lloyd
• McGinn
• Smith

Any heavy vehicles that are unable to find parking in these streets or on private property (hotel/motel car parks) are advised to park in Paget Industrial Precinct, South Mackay or at the end of Victoria Street, Mackay City Centre (after hours only).

Work will commence next week from 6am to 6pm and will be completed by December 2019, weather permitting.

Some noise and dust disturbance may occur while the work is completed however, appropriate controls will be put in place to minimise the impact. Traffic management will also be in place during the works.
