This Sunday (September 11), 46 stallholders and food vendors will turn the Civic Precinct into a wonderland of artisan delights and hand-crafted creations.

Rock Paper Scissors Art and Design Market will run from 1pm to 4pm and will feature an exciting mix of talented stallholders.

From stained glass to candles, contemporary craft, textiles and pottery, even artisan jewellery and original fine art – there will be original items available you simply won’t find anywhere else.

Rock Paper Scissors is curated by the team at Artspace Mackay, meaning you will find our region’s most talented creatives all in the one place.

There will also be a number of talented musicians performing on stage that will complement the event’s relaxed vibe – Tiffany Grace at 1pm, Kane Dodd at 2pm and Tate Obst at 3pm.

There are plenty of options for a late lunch or afternoon tea as well. Foodspace café will be open and Deep Gully Farm, ESA Alpha Rho and Sweet Vegan Cravings will also be offering delicious delicacies.

Last, but not least, the children will be well catered for thanks to the “Art Yurt”, a spacious tent full of art activities and fun (parental supervision required).

An ATM will be available onsite and Artspace Mackay will be open to allow access to the four newly-opened exhibitions: Tales of the Lyre Bird, D. Harding: The Wall, Figuratively Speaking and Veronika Zeil: Echo Forest – the Eloquence of Trees.
