Libraries reduce operating hours temporarily

Mackay Regional Council libraries will temporarily reduce their operating hours in the interests of health and safety during the evolving COVID pandemic.

Council and its libraries are focused on service delivery to the community, but services may be interrupted at times to ensure the health and safety of the public and staff.

Most of the region’s libraries will be implementing alterative operating hours from this Thursday (January 27).

The Online Library collections and return chutes remain available 24-7 for all library members during this period.

The alternative operating hours will remain in effect until Sunday, February 6, with usual business hours scheduled to resume from Monday, February 7.

The libraries and their alternative hours include:

Gordon White Library: Opening 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to noon, Saturday
Closed Sundays

Dudley Denny City Library: Opening 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to noon, Saturday
Closed Sundays

Sarina Library: Opening 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to noon, Saturday

Mirani Library: Opening 10am to 1pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
Closed Monday, Wednesday and Saturday

Walkerston Library and Mobile Library will continue to operate their regular services.
