Lookout! Stunning view for breakfast catch-up with councillors

Published: 01 Jul 2019

What a way to start your day –  a free coffee while taking in the stunning view from Lamberts Lookout.

That is what is on the menu for a community catch-up with councillors this week as part of the monthly Council in Community Day.

Councillors are visiting the Northern Suburbs this Wednesday (July 3) for the Council in Community Day.

They’re starting early, with a community catch-up breakfast at the lookout from 7.15am to 8.30am.

“We’re hoping residents can pop in on their way to work or before they start their day and take the opportunity to meet with councillors and senior management,’’ said Cr Fran Mann.

“What a wonderful way to start the morning with that glorious view from the lookout,’’ she said.

“It will also be a good opportunity to check out the spectacular mural on the nearby water tower.

“There will be a coffee van onsite offering complimentary tea, coffee and muffins.”

Cr Englert said residents who were able were being encouraged to park their vehicles at the bottom of the lookout and enjoy a stroll up and down.

“This is an opportunity to combine some exercise, breakfast with a view and an informal catch-up with councillors,’’ he said.

Following the catch-up, councillors will have a day of meetings, briefings and site tours in and around Lamberts Beach, Slade Point, North Mackay and Glenella.
