Mackay Regional Council and Mackay Tourism would like your opinion

As the tourism industry in the Mackay region emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, Mackay Tourism and Mackay Regional Council is seeking feedback from residents.

An online survey has been launched to help better strategize future events and festivals and provide a guide on the impact they have on Mackay’s local community. The survey is only expected to take 6 to 8 minutes to complete.

Mackay Tourism CEO Tas Webber said that this survey will help provide better events for Mackay residents in the future.

“In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, both Mackay Tourism and council have been working hard to organise events that benefit the residents of Mackay. The feedback of Mackay’s residents is therefore essential to ensure we continue to optimize our events.” Mr Webber said.

“This survey will help us get a better understanding of the effect events have on Mackay’s residents.”

This survey will contain questions that review the events held in Mackay over the past year.

Mackay Regional Council Mayor Greg Williamson said this survey would help map out residents’ preferences for events in Mackay.

“Council and Mackay Tourism are looking to better understand what kinds of events and event formats residents of the Mackay region prefer with this survey,” Mayor Williamson said.

“This survey will help to create an annual calendar so we can host and plan future events that align with Mackay residents’ preferences.”

The deadline to complete the survey is the Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Take the survey now.
