Make your mark at Brewers Park

Brewers Park, at Sarina, is a multi-use facility, utilised by 11 community groups who currently share responsibility for its maintenance with council.

Mayor Greg Williamson said the decision to create a Brewers Park Development Group came about when the master plan for the facility came up for renewal.

“Following discussions with the user groups, and other stakeholders, it was decided that bringing the management of the facility into one group was the best way forward,” Mayor Williamson said.

“We want to be able to achieve the best possible outcomes for the implementation of improvement projects in the future,” he said.

“The Brewers Park Development Group will represent the best interests of all of the park users collectively.”

Council has called for expressions of interest to become a member and members will be selected based on skills, experience and their ability to fulfil the group’s responsibilities.

“We’re looking for community minded people with a commitment to improving the facilities at Brewers Park,” Mayor Williamson said.

“They might have experience in project management, development planning, governance, financial management, major grant application writing, or event planning and marketing,” he said.
