Path proves popular with Sarina locals

Sarina residents have a new recreational area to enjoy, just in time for Christmas.

Brewers Road Reserve walk, located along Plane Creek in Sarina, is now complete and is set to become a popular meeting spot for locals.

Cr Kevin Casey said the new shared path, which connects Sarina Field of Dreams Parklands to Brewers Road, had been carefully designed to complement the area.

“The path is all-abilities accessible and is made of composite fibre decking, mesh boardwalk and concrete,” he said.

“It has not only improved connectivity, but it has also enhanced liveability and is already proving to be a popular recreation and fitness hub for residents in Sarina.

“It is the perfect spot to start ticking off those New Year’s resolutions in 2020 and is suitable for walking, running and cycling activities.

“Being situated so close to the Visitor Information Centre in the Field of Dreams, it is also in the perfect location for travellers who want to stop for a break, stretch their legs and take in the beautiful scenery of Plane Creek.”

This project has been funded by council and the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland program.
