Queens Park and Brewers Park closed for maintenance

Published: 25 Feb 2022

Contractors from Urban Play will arrive in Mackay next week to carry out maintenance to the skywalk tower at Queens Park and the skate park at Brewers Park in Sarina.

The contractors will complete work at Queens Park first and the skywalk tower and slides will be fenced off during this time. All the repairs are being completed under warranty and it is expected to take up to four days to complete the work, weather permitting. The small playground beside the skywalk tower will remain open during this time.

Maintenance work at Brewers Park will commence immediately once the repairs to Queens Park are complete and the skate park will be closed to the public during this time. Twelve panels on the skate park will be replaced and the area will be inspected to address any further maintenance concerns. The work is also expected to take about four days to complete.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these necessary closures.

Stay informed on council’s Facebook page for the latest details on when the parks will be closing and when the repairs are complete.
