Residents to stay alert due to the current wet weather

Yesterday, flash flooding occurred across the region with several roads closed due to the conditions.

It is expected that the region will again experience fast-moving flash flooding today and tomorrow.

Residents are reminded to never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it’s flooded, forget it.

Residents are being urged to sign up to receive free emergency notifications from council’s Disaster Dashboard.

The dashboard provides all the latest information on road conditions, weather warnings, storm tide evacuation zones, and power outages as well as the ability to view flood cameras around the region.
