Shared pathway works commence in Marian

Published: 05 Oct 2021

Civil construction works are under way on Anzac Avenue’s shared pathway between David Price Way and Daly Street.

The work will upgrade the existing 830 metre footpath and footbridge, which will improve connectivity and public safety in the area.

It is expected to take 12 weeks to complete, weather permitting, with works being undertaken between 6am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Care has been taken to keep as many trees as possible, however some trees will be required to be removed and replaced.

Motorists are advised that traffic control will be in place for specific activities.

There will be some driveway interruptions for residents, however residents will be contacted prior to works starting to discuss access requirements.

This $1,170,648 project is partially funded by the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program for the amount of $948,916.
