1) Mackay Region Show - #MackayPride on display

The display will include heaps of giveaways and prizes, including a Cowboys Experience package. One of the new additions to this year's display is the impressive 20-metre-long mobile library. Packed full of library books and information, the mobile library is likely to be a regular feature each year at the Mackay Show. The centrepiece of this year's display is the Park and Environment 'find yourself in a park' attraction. 2) An Artspace Mackay special event at Art on Show

Meet Artspace Mackay gallery director Tracey Heathwood and see her present a selection of her favourite artists’ books from the Mackay Regional Council Art Collection. Artspace Mackay houses almost 600 artists’ books from this collection and every two years hosts a national artists’ book prize, the Libris Awards, which attracts the very best artists’ books being created today. Tracey has a long association with the gallery and its collection of artists’ books and is herself a practicing printmaker. 4) AFL Winter Series

The women’s Gold Coast Suns take on the Brisbane Lions this Sunday, it’s free entry for the whole family. The main game will kick-off at noon for an afternoon of entertainment there will be jumping castles, food stalls, face painting, AFL activations and more for the kids. Don't miss a great day out. 5) Time Out Tai Chi

BMA Kidspace, Artspace Mackay’s ever popular toddler’s program, gives children under five a chance to explore and have fun with art in a climate of co-operative learning. It’s a tough road for the person with dementia, and often more difficult for the family members who care for them.
