Traffic interruption, corner of Sydney and Victoria streets

Council has appointed contractor Fulton Hogan to assess and fix the road that was affected by the water leak last week.

Traffic control will be in place for the duration of the works.

Detours will also be in place including:

• All traffic southbound off Forgan Bridge will be diverted into River Street
• Northbound traffic on Sydney Street will flow with no right-hand turn at Victoria streets
• There will be no left-hand turn at Victoria and Wood streets and Victoria and Brisbane streets
• Left-hand turn for northbound traffic from Sydney Street into Victoria Street will be permitted.

The detours will remain in place until the work is completed.

The work is expected to continue into the night on Tuesday (June 18) and may cause some noise disruptions.
