Council on display at local Shows

#discovermackay at a council Show display!

Mackay Show display information

The Mackay Show display will include heaps of giveaways and prizes, including a mountain bike package, two $200 bike vouchers and four corporate box tickets to an NQ Cowboys game! The biking prizes have been kindly provided by Corry Cycles.

One of the new additions to this year's display is a BMA Kidspace activity. Children who attend the council display will be able to colour in an artwork and put it on display at Pavilion 500. Two local artists will be rostered on for each day of the Show to help children make their creative masterpiece.

The centrepiece of this year's display is an interactive mountain bike game, promoting the Pioneer Valley mountain bike trails .The interactive display will allow you to race down mountain bike tracks, while tracking your speed and progress on a large digital screen.

There will also be live music by local musicians, thanks to council's Platform program. The program celebrates the talent of young people (12-18yo) and offers a platform to showcase and develop their talent.

A wide range of staff will be at the council Show display, ranging from Library and MECC staff to Shared Services and Local Laws officers. The mayor and councillors will also attend the Show display and will be available to talk to the public during peak times.
