Personal Fitness - Elena Borg (from Zumba with Elena)
Elena has been a ZIN™ Member since August 2011 and absolutely loves teaching Zumba classes. The reason is simple: every class feels like a party!
Elena is currently licensed to teach Zumba, Aqua Zumba®, Zumba Sentao®, Zumba Gold®, Zumba® Kids & Kids Jr., Zumba® Step. Come and join me at one of our Try the 5 sessions or at our regular Activate Mackay region sessions, I guarantee you will have a blast!
Water Sports - Linda Nugent
Linda has been actively involved in fitness all her life. She taught physical education for many years and is currently a fitness educator with CQUniversity.
Linda also teaches fitness classes at a local gym in her spare time but for the last 11 years she has been both a paddler and the coach at the Mackay Dragon Boat club.
As people age many people leave team sport due to a variety of reasons, but Linda
found Dragon Boating perfect for those looking for more. Life is not over at 50. Age is irrelevant in Dragon Boating, with both junior and senior paddlers, and it’s a great way to make new friends along the way.
Team Sports - Indie (Indianna) Brough
Indie (Indianna Brough) is a Gold Coast Suns Academy Player and was recently picked in the State Team.
"I have been lucky enough to play for the Bakers Creek Tigers Women’s AFL team for three years now and in that time we have won two premierships! Playing a team sport isn’t all about winning though, it is about the friendships and memories you get to create along the way. I have also played touch football, netball and OzTag which are all team sports that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Being a part of a team environment and feeling included is why I enjoy playing sport so much. I have been lucky enough to be selected in Representative AFL teams and win a few of awards over the past couple of years, but that wouldn’t be possible without the support and encouragement of my teammates, my coaches and all of our support crew & volunteers!"
Wheels Week - Peter Lister
Peter is very active in the Mackay community and established the MTB School of Excellence at Mackay Christian College, accredited by Mountain Bike Australia.
The MCC school team were crowned the National MTB Champion School in 2017 and runner-up in 2018.

He is a regular on the Australian MTB Scene and extensively to race, coach and train.
