Dial Before You Dig

Mackay Regional Council is a member of the national Dial Before You Dig service.

This means anyone about to undertake earthworks, trenching, tunnelling or other site works can register with the program to identify the location of underground infrastructure for free.

Please note, the plans will detail approximate location, not the exact location of cables and pipes. It is the excavator's responsibility to visually expose cables and/or pipes manually by using hand tools or vacuum excavation before any construction begins.

To register for assistance, simply log your job online at www.1100.com.au, phone 1100, or download the app to your mobile device.

Council will then send you the relevant plans and information via email.

The Dial Before You Dig service strives to improve the workplace health and safety standards of our region's construction sites.

So play it safe – dial before you dig.

Additionally, log on to council's online mapping system, MiMAPS, to view photos, print scaled maps, identify underground services and more.
