Northern Rural Area
Approximately half-an-hour north of Mackay, a string of sublime tropical beaches collectively known as The Hibiscus Coast, can be found. The drive from Mackay passes through cane fields, quaint rural settlements and mountainous countryside with dramatic coastal views.
Positioned adjacent to Cape Hillsborough National Park are the small beachside communities of Seaforth, Haliday Bay, Ball Bay and Belmunda Bay. Traditionally holiday destinations, these suburbs have in recent times flourished into permanent settlements.
