Natural Environment Plan

The Natural Environment Plan provides management direction to ensure the maintenance and improved condition of the natural environment in the Mackay region.

The plan

• Provides reliable, scientifically robust but easy to access information about the region's natural assets and their values
• Provides an overview of the key threats to these assets
• Identifies priority areas and activities for investment to ensure that our natural assets continue to provide the services that we rely on for economic prosperity and quality of life for the region's residents and visitors.

The interactive Natural Environment Plan provides a means by which everyone can get involved and learn about the Mackay region's natural environment, whether through assisting in on-ground projects or simply being able to view the work that is being done to protect the natural environment in the Mackay region.
