Recycling calendar

Recycling bins are collected every two weeks. Collections are made in either week one or week two.

To determine which day and week your recycling bin is collected click on one of the PDF links below and view the legend that depicts a colour for your area and a week 1 or 2 that recycling is collected:

For more detailed information visit:

• www.mimaps.mackay.qld.gov.au and follow the prompts (click on "Accept").
• Select in the toolbar across the top “Searches” and then on the side “Find Road” > “Next” > start typing in your road name and select it from the drop-down list.
• Click “Layer List” in the toolbar across the top.
• In the left-hand side "Layers" column, select the check box “MRC Community Services” and click “+” to expand.
• To work out when is your Recycling Bin week, select the check box “Recycle Bin”.
• Click the icon next to "Recycle Bin" to find out if you are “Week 1” (green) or “Week 2” (blue).
• Refer to the 2024 Kerbside Recycling Collection Calendar below to see the dates for "Week 1" (green) or "Week 2" (blue).
• To work out when is your General Waste Bin day, select the check box “Garbage Bin” instead.
• Click the icon next to "Garbage Bin" to find out if your bin is emptied “Mon”, “Tues”, “Wed”, “Thur”, or “Fri”.
