From the 27th of May – the 4th of June there will be a variety of artist run workshops and open-studio sessions available at the Cricket Shed in Queens Park.
Supported by Mackay Regional Council as part of the Mackay Waterfront Make Your Place Grants.
Melissa Larsen will guide you in this workshop to get your creative juices flowing as you cut and paste from a wide range of papers, textures and images (contemporary and vintage) to create a series of artistic collages. Be inspired by the birth of collage and its subsequent use in the 'Surrealist' art movement. Use clever contemporary techniques to create small gallery-worthy works of your own.
Material supplied, however; if you have a collection of images/papers/magazines you'd like to use please do so!
All other supplies will be provided.
